  1. Hey Mac, Great to see you here. How are you & all those cadets doing? I'm sure most don't fit those amazing ewok costumes you made for them these days.
  2. Hi Andrea, Thanks for posting here. A fellow jawa - music to my ears. I was the one chatting to you on both RL & 501st Ireland FB pages. Hopefully we will be able to meet up by then. I live an hour from Dublin, so I could arrange to meet up when you are in Dublin. Let us know your plans for around the country when you have them arranged closer to your travel time. We have members in all areas of the country.
  3. Hello Thomas & welcome to the forums. Clones are a difficult build, but we have one or two here. Perhaps @Petesbigpants& @Emerald Trooper & @Shadow Troopercan help with some tips. The clone trooper detachment will also help at http://501stclonetroopers.com/
  4. Great to see you back on the forums, Leandro. I remember chatting to you at the comic con in the RDS. Imperial kights... yes. Your emperor approves. https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TR_Imperial_Knight
  5. Hi Alice & welcome to our forums. We look forward to seeing you at upcoming events. What RL costumes do you have with you?
  6. Great to see you here, Alan. We have 2 events in Dublin already for November. Hopefully you can come along, even as crew to say hi. It would be great to catch up after so long. Take care, buddy.
  7. I use the TRamp with the finger buttons. I really like it.
  8. Hi Todd & welcome to the forums. It's great to see another TK joining the ranks. Hopefully you'll be cleared & gain your official TK ID from Legion shortly. I look forward to trooping alongside you in the near future.
  9. Hi Christian, It's great to see a fellow sand dweller visiting. We've no idea yet if troops will be happening on the dates you are going to be here, but fingers crossed for you. Depending on where you will be based while in Ireland, if there are no troops, some of us may be able to meet up for a chat or a bite to eat.
  10. Both are fine. I found the vision in my bubble lenses was terrible, so I changed them. It's a personal preference tbh.
  11. Very nice, Lisa. Good luck with your clearance. I see you have bubble lenses in your helmet. What's the vision like? I took mine out after my 1st troop as I could see very little. I replaced them with flat lenses, so I could see a lot better.

    Hello!

Welcome to the forums. As Richard said, it all depends on where you are living. In Dublin, there's Dublin City Comics, Big Bang Comics & Forbidden Planet - they are the ones I can recall as I don't buy comics myself.
  13. Hi Mark, Welcome to the forums & thanks for the introduction. Check out the 501st legion costume builds, which may give you an idea on what costume you would like to start 1st. https://www.irelandlegions.com/forums/index.php?/forum/21-501st-legion-costume-builds/ The rebel legion costume builds can be seen here... https://www.irelandlegions.com/forums/index.php?/forum/20-rebel-legion-costume-builds/ We also have a Reel Icons secion for any costume that is non Star Wars. We like to cover all the costume options
  14. Keep an eye on the forums & whenever we start having troops again, sign up as a handler (crew) & have a chat with whoever is trooping on the day.
  15. Hi there Ed & welcome to the forums. We always need those white stormtroopers for events [when we get back to them as soon as we can]. I'm from Monasterboice, so not a million miles away. Feel free to ask any questions you may have & we'll do our best to help you. For stormtroopers, the detachment forums are at https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/ Each other detachment has their own forums. - https://www.501st.com/detachments.php Also, this might help - https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CRLbydetachment
  16. Hey Karl & welcome to the forums. The clones are amazing costumes. Quite a difficult 1st build. The Rebel Legion forums are another good source of information for clones. Maybe someone else can give some more guidance on the clones & how to source & build one. The most important part of the build is the research that is needed for a build. Keep us all posted on how you are getting on.
  17. Hey Barry, Welcome & that's some choice for your costume. It's a beauty alright. Looking forward to seeing your build progress. We'd love to see a build thread with pics. It then helps others who may want to build the costume in the future.
  18. Hi Daniel, Welcome to the GA. I'm the Endor Campus Superintendent & we are thrilled to have you here. Sadly, we've no idea when we will be able to troop in person, but we all hope it will be sooner rather than later. We will be taking part in the May the 4th be with you online festival. Why not check out https://www.maythe4thbewithyoufestival.com/ for more details.
  19. Welcome Lisa to the forums. It will be great to have another pilot in the ranks. Make sure you follow us on all our social media & why not reach out to us on FB. We do some zoom calls every now & again & it's a nice way to meet the rest of us mad bunch while troops are on hold.

    Intro

Hi Richard, Welcome to the forums. Your costume choice is incredible. Talk about going in on the deep end. As Chris said above, the Bounty Hunters Guild will have loads of build threads in their detachment forums that will help.
  21. Hi Rick & welcome to the forum. Best of luck with the clearance photos. If you've not suited up yet for the photos, can you also do an action shot along with what Chris has suggested. Thanks a mill.
  22. Hi there & welcome to the forums. Here's a link on the legion website to all the detachments. https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CRLbydetachment Each detachment has a list of costumes. So for example the shadow trooper you mentioned earlier is in the Spec Ops detachment. [I'm slightly biased as I have a shadow scout & am currently building a shadow trooper].
  23. Great to see you on the way with your ANH TK build. You can't go wrong with one of the kits from Ross. I'm working on one of his kits for a shadow trooper at the moment. Keep us updated on how things are going with the build & we look forward to seeing you cleared for duty & trooping with us as soon as it's safe.
