  1. Hello there..... @Darth_Small I am sure @Boabiwan has covered all the ins and outs of the club. However if you have any questions and need advice on kits etc do not hesitate to ask on the forum. In the meantime I suggest you have a read over the welcome post Also I would say head over to the Crew Rank Request post and request crew access. This will allow you see and sign up to up coming troops as crew. Finally welcome aboard.
  2. Hi Barry, Let me see if I cant get someone to sort this for you. @Xadras @SyntaxError or @Ghostmaker could any of you sort out Barry's crew access please.
  3. Hello John, Welcome to the forum, always great to see more people interested in getting involved with the Garrison. From the sounds of it your going to hit the ground running, though if you need any help or direction with kits or clearnaces, I am sure everyone on here will be more than happy to help. More so if you end up going down the clone trooper route. In the meantime, I would suggest if you want to get involved a little sooner, head over to the the Crew Rank Request , from there you can request access to be able to see our upcoming events that you can sign up to. That way you can get to know the members and see how our troops are run. Also I would suggest a read over the welcome topic Welcome new members , this will give you a good base of knowledge to get you going. Look forward to seeing you at a troop in the future and possiblly your first kit clearance.
  4. Welcome Nathan, hope to see you at some troops soon. But first let me flag your request so we can sort your international status sorted. @Xadras @SyntaxError & @Ghostmaker would one of ye be able to sort Nathans internation access out please. BM
  5. Hello @DarthLumbergh There is no reqirement for the pet hardware cord to be used for the belt for the basic clearnace. For that cord it was marked as an optional lvl 2 clearance, most likely for it beening extremely rare to unavaiable nowdays. As long as the cord used is a 3 strand (black-brown-beige) braided, is a light polypropylene cord and meets the reqiurements of the crl. You should be good for basic clearance into the 501st. As for where to get the rope I would have assumed most maratime shops and sites or outdoor adventure shops would stock these. Though I could not tell you what color Variations they would have.
  6. Hello Danni, Welcome to the forum, I see that you have several kits on the go already. So I'm looking forward to seeing those submissions. Though you can still get involved with the garrison and get to know our members by signing up to events as a crew member. It's a great way to see how things work on a troop, but more so to help our visually impaired troopers to navigate. To get the ball rolling on that, if not done done so already. Head over to the the Crew Rank Request. From there you can request access and you will be able to see our upcoming events that you can sign up to. I would also suggest a read over the welcome topic Welcome new members, this will give you a good base of knowledge to get you going. After that if you have any issues, questions or just need advice on kits. Everyone here would be more than happy to help where they can. Also seen your doing a shoretrooper, which is great as there are a good few of us in the process of completing various versions of that kit. With 2 that have already been cleared by our members. So there is plenty of fresh help and info here for that kit. I would definitely take a look at the Shoretrooper Group Build Thread Other than that, welcome again and hopefully we will see you out at one of the events soon. BM
  7. Hello Neda, Welcome to the forum, and we always welcome anyone wanting to crew. It's a great way to see how things work on a troop, but more so to help our visually impaired troopers to navigate. To get the ball rolling on that, if not done done so already. Head over to the the Crew Rank Request , from there request access and you will be able to see our upcoming events you can sign up to. Also I would suggest a read over the welcome topic Welcome new members , this will give you a good base of knowledge to get you going. As for your first kit, our members have a wide variety and always happy to help. An easy one to start off with would be a run of the mill Stormtrooper, due to its popularity they are easy to come by, ether via a DIY kit or pre-made. Just to note, there are plenty of resources out there to help with a DIY kit. Or go with what character drew you to starwars. Either way choice is yours. FYI we need more Clone Troopers Look forward to seeing you at a troop in the future and your first kit clearance. BM
  8. @SyntaxError @Ghostmaker @Xadras Flagging the above request from yoshix.
  9. Welcome aboard Sarah
  10. Welcome, Jess.
  11. Welcome Graham, we can always do with getting more clones here. Just saying
  12. Welcome @Swifty Much like the rest said a TK is a good starter. But I have a feeling your ambitious, why not a better class of trooper and build a clone . Seriously though TK is a good starting point. I look forward to seeing and hearing about your progress. In the meantime I would definitely look into getting crewing status on here if you have not done so already and then you can join in on some of our upcoming troops. Look forward to seeing you about at the troops
  13. Hello Todd, I would be based down in outskirts of Cork City, so depending on what dates your around and for how long. I can try and meet up for a Coffee, etc.
  14. Hello Josh, Welcome to the forum, great step with the crewing option. Not only is crewing very important for those of us that cant see very well in kit. It's a great way to get involved, and get to know the wider group. Great choice in the SW movie, would be my favourite also. Empire went undefeated that year.... I look forward to seeing you at a troop at some point. BM
  15. Hello @Mad Madame Maddie Much like what @Dropkick stated, you and others are always welcome here in Ireland and the Garrison. It is always a huge step leaving ones home. However I wish you all the best in your plans and hopefully see you here at some point in the year. BM
