  1. Hello @Mad Madame Maddie Much like what @Dropkick stated, you and others are always welcome here in Ireland and the Garrison. It is always a huge step leaving ones home. However I wish you all the best in your plans and hopefully see you here at some point in the year. BM
  2. Hello Sal, Welcome to the forum. I was not at the con this weekend, but it possibly could have been Shane @Dropkick you were speaking to perhaps. As to where to start, you have already taken that step by creating a profile here. I would not know about any costume meetings off the top of my head, but if it was Shane or any other member that was at the Con, I am sure they can shed light on that for you. In reagrds to where to start with a kit, is there any in particular your interested in. If your unsure could start with looking at what era of Star Wars you like most and look at what takes your fancy costume wise. If your stuck and need more help, you can always ask on here as, the group have a wide verity skills and costumes. So help is not to far away and if not. We can always guide and point you in the right direction. Other aspects you can take part in is Crewing. As this is extremely helpful for our TKs and other members with kits the reduce sound and visablity (Mainly those blind TKs). WFor this jump over to the crew rank section on the form to request crew rank access. This way you will see the events and be able to sign up as crew, so the next event you can take part. Outside of the above, any questions just reach out and anyone here will be happy to help. Hopefully will see you sometime at an event. BM
  3. Hello Crystina, Welcome to the forum, I followed up with your post about then Existent Endor Leia costume, which should get you going. Any questions do heisitate to reach out. Its great to see some more entering the legion. BM
  4. Hello Peter, welcome and happy Christmas. Glad to hear your starting on a kit, any in particular your interested in. As the group here have a wide verity so help is not to far away and if not we can always guide and point you in the right direction. As for helping out and crewing, you would be more than welcome. As this is extremely helpful for our Blind TKs. What I would say jump over to the crew rank section on the form to request crew rank access. This way you will see the events and be able to sign up as crew. Outside of the above, any questions just reach out and anyone here will be happy to help. BM

  10. @HothFan, I should be free on the 2nd July to meet up with you in Blarney. Been awhile since I have been out that way but I can either meet you at the entrance for the castle or in muskery arms bar for a coffee thats on the other side of the square. Or whereever is easiest for yourselves.
  11. Hello Kyle, If your passing through Cork down south, would be happy to meet up for coffee. Would not have much in regards of coin trade however. Also we have a troop happening in Páric Charman in Wexford called relay for life in support of the Irish Cancer society on from the 29th June. There will be a good few members attending that would be more than happy to say hello.
