  1. Hi Bryce! Could you confirm the dates you are here and we'll see if anyone can meet up? You currently have yourself arriving 18 May 2023, but I'm assuming that was a typo?
  2. It was an absolute pleasure. Delighted that you enjoyed your trip, and hoping to see you all again in the near future!

    Ian

Welcome Ian, and I'll look forward to meeting you at a future troop!
  4. Hi guys, I could have a drive up to Galway Friday afternoon if it suited you to have a meet up then?
  5. Ah, tricky question... I've been to the Jameson distillery in Midleton in Cork and it was a fantastic tour, but I've never done their Dublin tour. Guinness Storehouse has some interesting stuff and is worth it just for the views of the city from the bar up top. Some of our other troopers might have experience of Jameson in Dublin and offer a fairer comparison!
  6. Welcome to the forum, and we look forward to welcoming you here! We've got a good few members in and around Dublin, and there's a good chance I could call into Galway myself while you're there. Keep us informed of your plans and I'm sure we can figure something out!
  7. Even us Imperials can't help but admire Hera! Many welcomes Lauren, and looking forward to seeing your progress!
  8. Hi Alan, Daniel here (sitting the other side of Shane on Saturday). Delighted that you both enjoyed yourselves and that you dropped in here to say hello. If you keep an eye on our "Upcoming Events" section here, you're welcome to comment underneath any of them to say you'd like to come along and help with crewing. That can be anything from helping our troopers kit up, taking photos, to making sure our stormtroopers don't fall down stairs that they can't see We have a few clones here who will be able to help answer questions, and also be sure to sign up over at the Clone Detachment if you haven't already: https://501stclonetroopers.com/forum/index.php?/login/ You'll find a lot more in depth stuff on Republic Commandos there, including recommended vendors around the world, though some of our guys might be able to point you to European vendors that will cut down on shipping and customs fees. Feel free to also create a new topic in our own clone section, where you can ask questions and post up updates: https://www.irelandlegions.com/forums/index.php?/forum/48-clone-trooper-detachment/ Welcome aboard! And hi to Susie too and her own inevitable costume
  9. Welcome, and I hope you both enjoy your trip! I will be quite some way away at the Smyths in Athlone that day, but I hope you get to meet up with some of our Dublin folks.
  10. Lovely to see some scratch build work! And if you're considering a Triple 0, it's my turn to be biased - that's a Spec Ops Detachment costume, and I'll always be happy to see more of those https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TX_000
  11. If you join the RWA Creations page and click on the "featured" tab, you'll see his most up to date price lists for all of his work. I'll send you on his current TK list so you can get an idea.
  12. Not to worry, the division of costumes in the 501st is a bit arbitrary, and isn't always intuitive! It's the Flagship Eclipse Detachment that you want, they have detailed CRLs for most of the Inquisitors to have appeared so far: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:FlagshipEclipse_CRL Be sure to join their own forum as well to find even more detailed advice on the costume.
  13. Welcome James, and I'm sorry to hear that you've already had a bad experience. Do you mind me asking where you found the seller that ripped you off? We do have one Boba in the garrison already, so Dave might be able to point you towards some reputable sources. The 501st Bounty Hunters' Guild (BHG) is another great resource, so be sure to sign up to their forums too if you haven't already.
  14. Welcome to the forums Stephen, and we look forward to welcoming you to our ranks! We've plenty of Stormtroopers who can point you in the right direction, although I know most have traditionally used Ross from RWA Creations - you can find his group under that name on Facebook. He's based in the Isle of Wight so reasonably close, albeit with the risk of some extra costs in these post-Brexit days. Your model making skills will certainly be just as welcome as you are, and I can say from experience that there's a lot of fun to be had building your own blaster. You'll find some build threads here on the forums for both costumes and props which you may find useful, and please feel free to start one yourself once you get underway. Personally I'd love to see an Inquistitor in the garrison, so that would be my vote for your second costume Any others questions, ask any time!
  15. Welcome to the forum, and be sure to keep us up to date on your travel itinery when you have more details. I'm sure some of us will be able to say hello when you're both here!
  16. That's great Andrea! Most of our troopers are in or around Dublin, but there's a few of us close to your other stops too. Cashel, Galway and Kerry are all possible meeting points. Stay in touch and we'll fix some plans a little closer to the date.
  17. I'll do my best to be in either Kilkenny or Limerick!
  18. Welcome Michael, and I can echo Shane that both makers are well known for their quality. My own DLT is from Breaking the Mold. Be sure to create a build thread in the "Mos Eisley Police Department" section of the forum once you get underway, and don't be afraid to ask if you have any questions at all.
  19. Welcome, and I look forward to trooping with you. Especially if you get that Cody built
  20. That's great Josh. If you can't make the 19th, I could try and meet you all either during your journey from Dublin to Cork or from Cork to Mayo. I'm right in the centre of the country, so could intercept easy enough in a few places on those routes.
  21. Welcome Josh, and I hope that some of us will be around to meet with you all. Will you be driving between each of those destinations? Also, you may have noticed on our calendar that we actually have a troop on 19th November just a way south of Dublin, so if you're down from Belfast in time then you're more than welcome to call in!
  22. Great stuff Bradley. Depending on your routes, there's a few good options there. Limerick is only about an hour away from me, and there's a couple of lads down a bit further south who might have a chance of meeting up there too. Failing that, if you're driving from Limerick to Sligo you're going to be crossing through a big part of Galway, which is even closer to me. Finally, most of our troopers are Dublin and the south east, so if you're finishing your trip in that part of the country there's a very good chance that some of our troopers there will be around. Keep us updated, and also be sure to keep an eye on our troop calendar just in case there's an event popping up anywhere that suits you to call in!
  23. Hi folks, as you might have seen elsewhere on the forum the event for next Sunday's troop has sadly had to be canceled. A few troopers will hopefully still be able to meet up that Sunday, maybe in Dublin city instead. We'll give you an update when we know more.
  24. Hi Bradley, we'll be delighted to welcome you to Ireland. Please keep us up to date on your plans here, and we'll see what we can do!
  25. Absolutely, I'll come along for some food after as well.
