TheArmourer Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I met Todd and Shane at Megacon today. Would love to get involved and learn.more about coating & making things. I spent years doing living history, so made everything from bronze age shoes to Norman chainmail. I..may have to clear out some of this for space for a new hobby. I'm interested in droid making (I need to finish my bb8), saber making (i really want an "impossible saber" despite the mechanicals bring complex), armour making with vacuum forming (I've always wanted to make Clone trooper armour). Happy to help folks with electronics, 3d printing, carpentry, welding, leather & clothes making. If there are meetups to make things etc. I'm all ears. So, here is me as an old & far Cal Kestis, with BD-1. 4 Quote

SyntaxError Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Hello and welcome! Definitely love the kit, and thanks so much for follow up with us after today’s con! There’s definitely no shortage of props, kits, and all things Star Wars to make, build, paint, or stitch together. @Dropkick @todlambe 1 Quote Everything a price has, however, isn’t always money, the price is.

BandageMonkey Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Hello John, Welcome to the forum, always great to see more people interested in getting involved with the Garrison. From the sounds of it your going to hit the ground running, though if you need any help or direction with kits or clearnaces, I am sure everyone on here will be more than happy to help. More so if you end up going down the clone trooper route. In the meantime, I would suggest if you want to get involved a little sooner, head over to the the Crew Rank Request , from there you can request access to be able to see our upcoming events that you can sign up to. That way you can get to know the members and see how our troops are run. Also I would suggest a read over the welcome topic Welcome new members , this will give you a good base of knowledge to get you going. Look forward to seeing you at a troop in the future and possiblly your first kit clearance. 1 Quote
todlambe Posted January 19 Posted January 19 It was an absolute pleasure talking with you on Saturday and discussing prop building. We have a lot of great talent here in the Garrison but we're always looking for more people interested in taking on new.projects and being a part of this great crew -Todd 1 Quote "You know what's going on?
