This was the event that we first reached out to the Emerald Garrison back in 2018.  They met us in Dun Laoghaire and we started building the relationship between both clubs from there.  Over the years we arranged a number of joint troops as a result of this get together in Dun Laoghaire.

I discussed this with staff and suggested a reach out to the Emerald Garrison to troop jointly at this con.  I was in touch with Amanda Allaway who looks after events for the Garrison and they are delighted to join us once again.

I was also in touch with Ghostbusters Ireland who are almost sure they can make it and I was also in touch with USS Cuchulainn who are looking to set up a recruitment station on the day (unfortunately the bridge will in the UK over that weekend)

Will do my best to get down for this one. This was the event that I attended with the lads from the E.G back in 2018, that then made me sign up to the R.L.

So it would be good as a 1st troop again after so long.

Think I will have to put myself down to crew for this one. As my RC outfit most likely wont be ready in time for the event. So I'll bring myself, a camera and crew for it

OK Guys.  We're really looking to having everyone down at the festival this year.  So just a couple of things for you.

Parking:  There is an underground car park in the hotel.  Its a ticketed car park.  When leaving the hotel go to reception and ask for your ticket to be validated.  There will be no charge then.

The Con: The con opens at 11am to the public and finishes at 6pm.  We will have a table and a large space for 501st, RI, RL, Ghsotbusters Ireland etc. in the Main FUnction Room in the Hotel.  If anyone has any buckets, please bring them to collect for charity.  Any PR material is appreciated Shane.  Anything to dress up the table.

Chaging Room:  The changing room is on the second floor of the hotel and is accessed by lift.  The chaging room is called The Kingston Suite.  We will allocate a swipe card to each group to get in and out of the room.  Refreshments will be provided.

Trooping: Troop as long as you want.  Dont feel under pressure to stay in costume all day.  You all know the score.  The weather is supposed to be good all day so no problem going outside to the front of the hotel to troop if you wish

The Underground Cinema Team really appreciate everyone that is coming down to troop on the day.  Over the course of the weekend there will be over 100 films screened in the hotel.  As a token of appreciation we have double tickets for all of our troopers who might like to take in a film over the three days of the festival.  Just let me know and I'll email you a code to retrieve your tickets.
