Hey guys, we got a special request in from a lady whose daughter lost their father to suicide 4 years ago, the RNLI, Slaney rescue, the Garda divers and other voluntary organisations gave up their valuable time to help search for his body near the Ferrycarrig Bridge Wexford, after 25 days they were ready to give up but these people found him on day 25 so they could finally put him to rest.
Every year since they have set up a pool tournament in his memory and to raise vital funds for these extraordinary front line workers and volunteers, they want to make it a family day with superheroes, face painting and sweets for kids, they are also doing a tug of war, skittles and other activities along with the pool tournament. 
The event will be held outdoors at the back of the venue, a secure changing area will be provided

We've done this con for the past two years and its always been a great even.  Its a small con but its very well supported and a really great family day.  Celtic Con will be having a second con in Portloaise which I'll post separately.  There will be a safe and secure place to get changed and there is parking at the back of the town hall.  They will also be providing us with a table at the con.

This is the primary fundraiser for our 'Relay For Life' team 'The Empire Gives Back' for the Irish Cancer Society, last year we raised €2.5k in the buckets, amazing!!!!, open to all clubs and members (even if they are not registered on our team* you will be more than welcome to help out with this).

I have met with the manager of Golden Disks Wexford and he has kindly agreed to again let us use the back of the shop as a changing area, it is quite spacious and also has toilet facilities etc.

The Relay For Life Wexford is now live for sign ups.
This is event  is truly something special, it is one of those troops you will never forget.
'Relay For Life is the biggest cancer fundraising initiative across the world. It sees communities across the globe coming together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and stand shoulder to shoulder with those battling cancer. Relay For Life is a celebration of solidarity and helps to raise awareness of the services provided by the Irish Cancer Society locally and nationally.'
All are welcome to register/join our team including friends and family (they don't have to wear a costume)
