OK Guys, the May the 4th festival team in Malin Head have been in touch with us and to welcome us to their festival this year. The Festival is more consolidated this year with everything happening at one site in Malin Head as of this moment as opposed to all over Inishowen last year so there won't be much running around to other places this year. This may change slightly if they ask other places to get involved and they take on the task but they haven't got round to putting that request out yet. In any case there will be less driving to other locations in comparison to last year. The festival will be held for two days. Friday May 2nd and Saturday May 3rd. You will need to be there and ready to troop for 1pm on the Friday.
B&B's will be booked for you (Fri & Sat night). Your travel and food expenses will be covered and a donation will be made to charity. This will be a small troop as the guys in Malin Head need to cap this at 5 troopers. Kevin is going to spearhead this one so there will be four more places,
I have gone over everything with these guys from top to bottom. I've advised that our troopers need a safe and secure place to get changed. That regular breaks are required. If you have to travel to other locations that you will have to dekit etc. etc. In other words I don't want this festival trying to have you guys do too many things over a very busy two days. Because this is such a small troop, you may have to troop as four at some of the events with a fifth as crew. You could take turns doing this. As I said, Kevin will be there to take charge of the troop so he'll be able to work out what is best.
Finally, with regard to costumes, again because this troop is so small we need the more iconic costumes there. At least one TK and if possible 2.
